Learn something new with a brew in hand! Join us at the Barrel Room on May 17th from 1 to 4PM for our Arts + Craft Beer candle making class, hosted by Shanda Browning, owner of The Bee and The Crown.

Use high-quality soy wax, unbleached wicks, and sustainable essential oils to craft your perfect candle. Shanda will guide you through the processes, but the customization is all up to you!
Choose your scent ahead of time at ticket purchase, and there will be dried flowers, soy-based dyes for you to choose in person. You’ll also design a custom label with stamps and lettering.

Tickets are $35 and include one drink of your choice (non-alcoholic options available) and light snacks. We do ask that attendees are 14 and up, as you’ll be working with hot wax and some sharp tools. If you order more than one ticket, make sure to note the individual scents for each. Let’s get crafty!

About the Artist: Shanda is a Yellow Springs local who makes candles, paper goods, textile art, and more. Her studio is located at The Hatch in Springfield, and is open to the public every first Friday of the month.
